ARTWERX

..
.   .

Artwerx was formed in Brighton, UK, in 1996.

It is a group of artists who are all interested in the visual possibilities presented by the computer and its application to 2D and 3D art and design.

All of the works produced by the group reflect a common interest in abstract and non-representational art, generated via the use of computer software.

The work would be virtually impossible to realise via traditional means.

.

Artwerx is developing this form of abstract art in order to:

  • explore the visual and technical possibilities of this art form.
  • begin to define a new art movement.
  • achieve a wider audience for computer generated art.
  • promote individual artists who are working in this medium.
  • allow the public access to view or purchase current art work which has not previously been available in the public realm.
  • to provide production and other art and design consultancy services.
